For all of you photographers out there that shoot tethered and haven’t seen this, it’s a must have item. I’m in Dallas shooting at Seth Smith Studio yesterday and the tech pulls out this amazing little block of aluminum called the Altman Media Digital Tetherlock, http://www.tetherlock.com/.
Now I’m sure I’m not the only shooter out there that’s stepped on their firewire cord in the moment and ripped half of the guts out of their 1DS MK II, but with this never again (I suppose it will just rip the camera out of your hand now??) This amazing little device calms all of those worries on set, I put my order in today. At 89 bucks it’s a little pricey but I think my port repair was a little over 300 last time so it’s all in all a good deal.
Tomorrow afternoon we land in Chicago yet again. My last visit to the windy city looked pretty much like this the entire duration of my three stay, we’ll see what mother nature has in store for us this time around. I’m looking forward to shooting the streets once again…but the real bonus of the trip, a free Andrew Bird show at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park tomorrow eve.
This was a test shot of my assistant for a shot knocking off the Top Gun movie poster for an 80′s fashion spread. My original title was a Tom Cruise bash but as of today I had to change the title…what happened was I saw Tropic Thunder. My opinion of Cruise has definatley now clouded, it’s hard to hate a man after seeing him in that funny of a light…
For all of you AZ natives that ask time and time again, yes, as a matter of fact it is named after the amusement park. Concieved in the 50′s by Louis E Crandall, Legend City was to be Arizona’s Disneyland. LC opened it’s doors in 1963 and closed them in 1983. Cut to modern day Legend City, a working studio located in downtown phoenix housing photographers Brandon Sullivan, Camerawerks, and painter Randy Slack, aka 3carpileup.
We have officially reached the point in the Phoenix summer where everyone is beginning to crack. Road rage is at it height and you want to rip the head off of everyone you come into contact with. Thank god for a Chicago retreat next week…
E! News showed up at a shoot of mine a couple weeks ago in North Hollywood, here’s the result thanks to a fan and their handycam bootleg. I was shooting Aly & Aj for the packaging and advertising of their upcoming Rockband and Guitar Hero controllers for the Wii. Girls, prepare to get your Wii rock on!
After two years of meaning to launch this blog, it’s finally begun. As of today you’ll be barraged with personal work as well as pertinant advertising and editorial photography as I see fit. Phoenix Arizona Photographer signing off for the time being as I figure all of this WordPress business out.
